What’s God’s plan for Mankind?

If we do not know the plan of God for our lives we live a meaningless life. Sometimes, the reason we find ourselves struggling to obey God is because we don’t know God’s plans for our lives.

In Jeremiah 29:11 God says,

“For I know the plan I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future

If we know God’s plan for our lives, we can get the strength, hope, power, and excitement of obeying God. When God gives us His commands it’s because He wants to get us to get to the place of His unlimited blessing. When we repent of our sins it should not just because we are afraid of going to Hell, it should be because we want to align us with God’s will, where God’s exiting and glorious purpose is revealed.

What is God’s purpose for our lives? John G Lake has put it this way:

“I am so anxious these days that, somehow, God will help us, that the divine dignity, the moral strength, the heavenly power and purity, the divine character and holy nature that God revealed through Jesus Christ as our inheritance, will be realized, and we will walk with our Lord, and we will talk with our Lord, and exercise God government over sin and sickness, know and reveal His all-conquering grace.

Oh, that is my conception of Christ’s salvation. That is what the Baptism of the Holy Ghost reveals to me. That is the way my spirit interprets the precious Spirit of Jesus Christ. That is the revelation that Jesus brought from heaven for the world that was down—for the world in sin. Oh, beloved, not confessing your sins because somebody is behind you with the club of hell, but because the Lord Jesus Christ is revealing in your soul the God possibility and quality of your nature, and that, instead of being in the likeness of Christ, as He intended you to be, you have sold yourself out to the world and the flesh and the Devil, and you are covered with dirt and shame, and debased[…]”

John G. Lake

Do you see what God sees about you? It was God’s original intention to lift you from your weak state to be an inheritor of His grace and glory! To become His child and join the family of God. To ascend from the low place of living in the flesh and be lifted up to where God is, to join the family of God and become the brother of Jesus, the adopted Son of God! Oh what a glory! And it’s in that ascension that God has given us this glorious inheritance of walking in God’s power where sickness, disease, infirmity, principalities, powers, and authorities are under our feet! You don’t have to live a moment of defeat if you understand the plan of God in your salvation!

I challenge you right now to get up out of your situations and anything that’s holding you because God has invested on you the precious blood of Jesus so that you may become victorious!

Praise Your Holy Name Jesus!

How to Be in God’s Presence

To be in God’s presence is to be close to Jesus, because Jesus is the fullness of the revelation of who God is. We see the unseen God through Christ. Christ Jesus is the true mediator that unites us with the Father. To know Jesus is to know the Father and to have the revelation of Jesus is to have the revelation of the Father. Therefore, when we are close to Jesus we are in God’s presence. How do we get in God’s presence?

***Our proximity to the Son of God is determined by our obedience to His word.

John Piper puts it this way:

There was a crowd around Jesus and they said: Hey, your mother and your brothers are outside, seeking you. In other words, the people that are closest to you that seem to have the closest human ties, they want to talk to you. Now Jesus’s answer is simply stunning. He says, “‘Who are my mother and my brothers?’ And looking about at those who sat around him, he said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother.’”

So, to be the mother of Jesus is: obey God and you will be the mother of Jesus. Well, what does that mean: be the mother or sister or brother of Jesus? And doesn’t it mean you will be as close to him as you can get? Your intimacy of relationship will be very, very close. There will be privileges. There will be access. There will be protection.
