Life Giving Free Food

“So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.” John‬ ‭6:53-54‬ ‭NASB‬‬

The life of Jesus Christ is manifested in us when we feed on Him. That is, feed on his flesh and blood. This does not just mean taking holy communion, but also it speaks of being a partaker of His death and resurrection through faith. When we eat His body we are believing that His body is broken for us, and that He died, was buried, and was raised from the dead by the power of God. When we drink of His blood we are believing that His blood is shed for our sins. When we believe and live in this reality we are living in Him, and because we live in Him, we live forever.

Therefore, in order for the life of Jesus to be manifested in us, we must be conscious of the reality of His death and resurrection every moment of our lives. Our life comes from feeding on His flesh and blood. If we stop feeding on Him, we die and there will be no life left in us. If we feed on Him by being conscious of Him through the Scriptures by the Spirit of God, His life will be manifested in and through us.
